Unmindful of Day and Night

An early short story~

To be with you, day and night, is a lifetime.

My next historical romance, Snow Embracing the Long Night, is available to add to your reading list:

Yan Shi is a noble young lady of a prominent family, famous throughout the imperial capital. Suitors arrive at her door one after another.

On the eve of her engagement, disaster strikes the Yan family. In an instant, Yan Shi falls from grace and becomes the daughter of a convicted official.

The noblemen who once sought her hand now want to take her as a concubine, and everyone waits to laugh at the fallen beauty, the pearl buried in the dirt.

But Yan Shi remains composed and dignified, and turns around to marry into the marquis's household.

Only then do people remember that years ago, the Yan family's young lady had been engaged to Xie Qingheng, heir to the marquis's household.

But that peerless young heir died far from home at just eighteen, and has long since turned to dust.

Xie Qingheng rose to fame as a youth, dressed in fine clothes and riding a fine horse, full of spirit. He was the unattainable first love of countless young ladies, but was ambushed and subjected to untold torment.

He narrowly escaped death, crawled out of a sinister hell, and returned to the imperial capital under a new identity, vowing to exact revenge.

Yet he never imagined that after coming back from the dead, he would somehow find himself with a new bride.

Xie Qingheng: ...?

Yan Shi married Xie Qingheng's spirit tablet only to seek the Xie family's protection, safeguard her family, and clear her father and elder brother's names.

She never imagined that a man who had died would one day return...
