A Leak in the High Tower

The Southern Chu series, the parents' generation: Stealing a Kiss, Stealing a Heart, currently updating, 1v2

One Strike, One Hit and Run, Both Complete

[Brilliant Romantic with a Mental Illness VS Narcissistic Sweetheart Princess]

[No Age Gap | Faux Forbidden Love in a Powerful Family | Plot-Driven | Forced Pursuit, True Hell of Regret]

When Xing Jiahe was six, her parents brought home a little boy who looked exactly like her. They named him Xing Jiashu and told everyone he was her twin brother.

Jiashu hated calling her big sister, but she discovered that he was not only an albino with white hair and red eyes, but also suffered from an exceedingly rare disease:

"Vampire" syndrome.

During an attack, only blood could save him.

.

With their family in ruins and debts piling up, Jiahe and Jiashu relied on each other in the maelstrom. Their bond ran deeper than blood, down to their very bones.

Until one night, Jiashu silently came up behind her. His tall, dark figure swallowed her whole, while a faint, sweet, metallic scent hung in the air.

"Jiahe, I told you I know everything about you." His gentle voice sent chills down her spine. His arm clamped around her waist like an iron band, leaving no room to resist. "You betrayed me and chose him. Did you ever think about the punishment you'd face if I found out?"

.

Later, at the top of Knight Tower, a symbol of power, heavy velvet curtains shut out the world.

Xing Jiahe was forced into a cold, high-backed chair. Jiashu, immaculate in his suit, knelt reverently at her feet. His slender fingers lifted her ankle as he slowly wound a diamond-studded anklet into his palm.

Mocking laughter drifted in from outside the door. He ignored it. Silver-white hair fell across his face, but could not conceal his red eyes, filled with a churning, pathological possessiveness and profound pain.

"Jiahe... my Jiahe..."

"Big sister..."

Like a caged beast tormented by both desire and illness, he spoke with a twisted tenderness:

"Only my veins carry your blood. We share our lives, our secrets, and everything filthy and beautiful..."

"We were born to love each other."

Reader's Guide:

1. The cities in the Southern Chu series are fictional. The story takes place during the Xing family's rise to the top. Other fictional elements will be given scientific explanations as the plot develops.

2. The male lead's illness only causes mild symptoms. Please don't mention anything that could affect other readers' enjoyment in the comments.

3. Both leads are sexually inexperienced; happy ending. Lots of twists and melodrama. Read with caution if that's not your thing.

4. The author is writing this series for herself. The characters aren't perfect, so please don't hold them to impossibly high moral standards.

The third version of the blurb was archived on March 23, 2025.

--- Upcoming story in the same series, the first generation ---

[Black-Hearted Slum Girl & Heir to a Powerful Family]

[1v2 | Everyone's a Villain | Game of Deception]

Wang Tian's childhood dream: become one of the upper class, at any cost.

She set her sights on the Xing family, at the very top of the social pyramid: a prestigious family with a century of history.

She had two plans.

First, help her still-charming mother marry into the family.

Second, conquer one of the twin heirs herself.

.

On her first visit to Qianyuan Manor's open day, the twin brothers lounged on a bench beside the riding track. Their long legs, clad in knee-high leather boots, were powerfully muscled. A tall horse stood nearby, with a pack of fierce hunting dogs gathered around its hooves.

Wang Tian lowered her eyes and bowed respectfully. "Good day, young masters. I'm the daughter of Steward Wang."

Xing Chuanyu wrapped a rein around his hand, looking down at her with cool indifference. "No mouse that steals cheese ever gets away with it."

Xing Chuanqi was a reckless playboy. He said cruelly, "Qianyuan doesn't keep freeloaders. Your mother works as a servant, and you'll be a servant to my dogs."

.

After her scheme was exposed, beneath a window shaded by green leaves and the sunlight filtered through plane trees, Xing Chuanyu seized her by the throat. "Quite the ambitious one, aren't you, little dog-slave?"

His palm slowly covered her throat. Wang Tian's face flushed red, but she raised her brows defiantly. "And what about it, big brother?"

Xing Chuanyu kissed her savagely. The force of their collision sent glass shattering across the floor.

The twins shared each other's sensations. In the corner, Xing Chuanyu gasped and pulled away.

.

Once, when Xing Chuanyu was sent to New York, Wang Tian and Xing Chuanqi grew much closer. That day in the back garden, he left the red flower of evil on her slender, pale neck. As the sight of the same face swayed wildly before her eyes, a message arrived on the phone lying in the brambles, sent from across the ocean.

[I'm negotiating a deal with the Massino and Nova families. Can you and Tian pick another time, bro?]

[Remember to film it for me, from my favorite angle.]

The woman panted. "What's wrong...?"

The man wiped the droplets from the screen and said hoarsely, "You're too nervous."

Reader's Guide:

1. The female lead has a mental illness and multiple personalities. She has moral flaws, steals, uses force, and stops at nothing.

2. The twins share each other's sensations: older brother Xing Chuanyu, younger brother Xing Chuanqi. Their names sound like "strange encounters."

3. Both leads are sexually inexperienced; happy ending; not angsty, but a feel-good story. Multiple characters, not just a two-person romance.

Second version of the blurb captured on September 30, 2025.
