One day, on her way home, Zhu Ping'an slips and tumbles down a slope, only to be caught in a pair of strong arms.
The man has the graceful bearing of a crane and pine, wears a bamboo-green Taoist robe, and has long black hair tied in a topknot. He holds a fly whisk, and his face is as finely carved as jade and ice. His narrow eyes are cool and compassionate, like autumn moonlight reflected on water.
"An immortal?" Zhu Ping'an is stunned.
"Hm?"
"A Taoist master?"
What a little fool, practically delivered to my door, Gu Shixian thinks.
He smiles. "Young lady, I see a bloody disaster in your near future. Become my last disciple, and your luck will turn. You'll enjoy good fortune, the help of Heaven, Earth, and Man, and success in all things."
"Master, please bless me so I can catch the bad guy!"
"First, bow your head to the ground."
The young woman immediately kneels and bows. The man hides his mouth and nose as he chuckles at her.
Not far away, a group of suited thugs hiding behind a boulder are speechless.
How shameless! He's duping a young woman fresh out of college!
The big bad guy starts catching little bad guys everywhere, and with every "Master," he loses himself a little more. A hungry ghost dons human skin to tempt an innocent young woman. Just as he's about to win her over, his Taoist robe gets pulled off by accident, revealing a black dragon tattoo covering his back.
