Spring Run

A high-society heiress from Beijing x an archer

Everyone knows that the current Mrs. Si didn't marry into the family honorably. She's always been competitive and refuses to be outdone, especially when it comes to raising her only son, Si Jingran.

Si Jingran doesn't disappoint. In every respect, he's among the best of his generation.

With his outstanding looks, secure inheritance, exceptional business acumen, and a fiancée from a prestigious family, Si Jingran has had a smooth life and everything he could want.

Until one evening at a banquet, he gets drunk and goes out to the terrace for a smoke. The wind catches the curtain, revealing a glimpse of his usually gentle, demure, and dull fiancée, Rong Yu, kissing someone.

That someone is his dear half-brother, Cheng Xiaoran.

The cigarette burns his palm, but Si Jingran doesn't notice.

Rong Yu's mother has made being a good wife and mother her life's work. Everyone praises her for raising her daughter well, saying the younger Miss Rong has surpassed her mother.

But after playing the refined young lady for over twenty years, Rong Yu decides she's done.

Rong Yu has no heart. Cheng Xiaoran learned that when he was twenty-one.

After awakening a sleeping iceberg, this carefree butterfly simply slips away. She always finds a way to do it.

It was entirely expected that she would pretend not to know him when they meet again. He's waited five years, so he can afford to be patient.

Twenty-six-year-old Cheng Xiaoran has plenty of ways to make the butterfly stay on the branch.
