A Guide to the Sickly Team Captain Coughing Up Blood [New Love Interest]

[Sharp-tongued, soft-hearted jungler x sickly, scheming beauty of a support]

From the youth training camp to FGS's starting lineup, Shang Tingchao and Song Liang had competed together for nearly four years.

He spent day and night reviewing matches and training with Song Liang, while his health steadily deteriorated.

But FGS missed the playoffs this season. Under mounting pressure, Shang Tingchao coughed up blood and collapsed during a match. When he woke up, he learned that Song Liang had transferred to another team.

The increasingly half-hearted practice matches, the phone numbers of other clubs on Song Liang's phone, even the fact that Song Liang hadn't visited him during this hospitalization: the signs had all been there.

When Shang Tingchao returned to the team base, Song Liang was playing duo queue with someone else. When Shang Tingchao confronted him, Song Liang sneered, "That promise to win a championship together? I was just humoring you. You actually believed me?"

"If you can't win a championship, just switch out your teammates. You think you're cut out to play professionally?"

Shang Tingchao was so furious his vision went black. He was just about to slap Song Liang when someone rang the doorbell.

A white-haired young man stood at the door. He shot Song Liang a cold glance, then looked at Shang Tingchao.

"Shang Tingchao, I'm Lu Zhou, FGS's new jungler. I'm here to help you win a championship."

FGS rebuilt its roster for the new season. At first, no one had faith in them, but this new team surged ahead, defeated the veteran team led by Song Liang, and won the championship.

At the celebratory banquet, Song Liang shamelessly went to make peace with Shang Tingchao, the Finals MVP support, but Lu Zhou stopped him.

Song Liang flew into a rage. "What gives you the right to stop me? I'm his old teammate..."

Before he could finish, a cup of cola was poured over his head.

Lu Zhou narrowed his eyes. "You're the useless player who got solo-killed by me five times in the finals, and you said he wasn't cut out to play professionally?"

Seeing Song Liang's humiliated, frightened expression, he smiled even more brightly. "You're his old teammate, and I'm his new love. Tell me, don't I have the right to stop you?"

During the post-finals interview, the host asked, "Player Lu Zhou, did you know that the anniversary of your KPL debut falls on player Shang Tingchao's birthday?"

Lu Zhou's lips curved into a slight smile. "I've known for ages."

More than just knowing for ages.

It was the date he had carefully chosen years ago, the day that could intertwine his life with Shang Tingchao's.
