They Said It Was Just a Murder Mystery Game [Wuxia Crossover]

Xie Liuyu has just bought a new immersive murder-mystery game set in a martial arts world.

A four-browed swordsman walks down the street and unexpectedly encounters a spirited martial heroine dressed in red, riding a white horse.

A crippled constable gazes across a frenzied, shouting crowd at a foreign dancer who has come to the capital bearing a blood feud.

A young fish from the river, fresh to the martial world, meets a shy, smiling apprentice in an apothecary.

A thief famed for leaving behind a lingering fragrance on moonlit nights hides away in the mountains, only to run into a Taoist nun in plain robes who is concealing a secret.

The game ends. The players leave the dungeon and look over the records, laughing or cursing.

They have no idea how many heroes' dreams they've appeared in as a wisp of smoke, fading away, beyond their reach, leaving behind only a faint, fragrant chill.

Reader's Notes:

1. The author hasn't played many murder-mystery games and is kind of an idiot, so the heroine probably won't be able to see through the scenarios at a glance and wipe the floor with everyone, even though I wrote them all myself.

2. From point 1, you can tell this isn't exactly a proper murder-mystery game.

3. A classic everyone-loves-her story, with countless arrows aimed at the heroine.

Theme: Even in a virtual world, enjoy real freedom.
