Falling in Love with Tsunayoshi Sawada

“We met when we were six, shared our first kiss at ten, started acting like more than friends at fourteen, got together at eighteen, and you proposed to me at twenty-two. This year you're twenty-six, and you got into a street fight with someone and lost all your memories.”

“That's the story. Any questions?”

The amnesiac young man Elisa had brought home had eyes far too clear and bright for an adult, like an open sky screen. He touched the bandages wrapped around his head. Confusion appeared on his handsome face, along with an awkward look, as though he wanted to argue but didn't know how. After a long pause, he cautiously asked:

“Is that true?”

Elisa set a glass of hot milk with three spoonfuls of sugar in front of him and smiled.

“It's true.”

It wasn't.+

The Tenth's diary:

We really did meet. The first kiss was real. The flirtation was real. We really did get together, and I really did propose to her. Every bit of it was true.

The only lie was that she had stayed by my side, never leaving me, for the past twenty years.

Reading tip:

The pairing is exactly what the title says.

A sweet little romance.

Theme: Love can overcome every hardship (and amnesia).
