Blurb:
In her previous life, Xiaochun refused to marry and accidentally fell off a cliff while fleeing her wedding. She never expected to open her eyes again.
In this life, she has no parents, just a younger brother who depends on her, a tiled-roof house, and a few acres of wasteland.
Faced with a situation no better than the one in her previous life, Xiaochun immediately wants to abandon everything and run. But her newly acquired little brother is so considerate it breaks her heart. Even with his stomach growling, he only drinks well water and refuses to touch the last steamed bun in the pot.
Xiaochun steels herself and rolls up her sleeves. So what if she has to farm and raise her little brother? It's what she does best!
She thinks they will have to endure these hard times for a long while. Then one day, a city dweller who calls himself a director shows up at her door. He says that if she signs her name and cooks for some people called "guests," looking after their daily needs, she will get a huge sum of money.
Xiaochun's eyes light up, and she agrees at once.
Who knew such a good deal existed?

Before filming begins, the director hints that the guests all have bad tempers and she should avoid getting into conflicts with them.
Xiaochun nods solemnly and takes his words to heart.
But after spending some time with the guests, she thinks the director is making a mountain out of a molehill. They are nothing like the difficult people he described. In her eyes, they are all very nice.
A young man with an earring looks her up and down and says nastily, "What a dilapidated house. I'm not staying in there."
Xiaochun nods. It's certainly run-down. I should respect the guest and not make him angry.
That night, the young man is left standing outside the door. "?"
A boy in a white shirt has a cool expression and sharp words. "I never drink plain rice porridge."
Xiaochun is touched. He is willingly giving us his food. What a good person.
The boy, who has been hungry all morning and is waiting for someone to coax him into eating: "?"
A fox-eyed youth smiles as he clings to her arm and wheedles, "Sis, my hands hurt if they get wet. Could I skip the dishes?"
Xiaochun is moved. He is using such a flimsy excuse just to make things easier for her!
The youth, assigned to clean the chicken coop: "?"
In short, everyone is so nice. How could they possibly be as scary as the director said?

A Month of Swapped Lives is the most popular reality show produced by Director Liu. The show sends pampered young masters who have never known hardship to experience life in the countryside, hoping to reform them and show the public that even rich young men can turn over a new leaf.
To make the show feel more authentic, the crew specifically sought out the poorest household within ten miles. The family consisted of a brother and sister whose parents had died young, making them ideal candidates.
Director Liu had thought the biggest challenge would be getting the young masters to accept country life and get along with their chosen hosts.
He never expected that before long, the arrogant young masters who had sworn to make life difficult for the guests would all become as docile as lambs, following them around and refusing to go home.
After hanging up yet another call from the young masters' parents, who threatened to pull their investment if their sons were not sent home, Director Liu's mouth twitched. He couldn't stop himself from swearing.
"Damn."
So this was the biggest problem?
