Ming Can bought an unwanted breeding dog to be her guide dog, and named her Momo.
Ming Can always thought she was just an ordinary little dog, until a repairman came to install a pet monitor at her home and casually asked her:
“Do you also have a younger sister who helps look after you?”
Ming Can: “...?!”
Ming Can asked the repairman to describe the monitor footage, scene by scene.
Only then did she learn that the meals from her landlady, her braille books, and even her new laptop had all come from Momo.
The truth finally came out when Ming Can pretended to be asleep.
She waited patiently for a long time, until the fluffy dog in her arms turned into a young woman.
Ming Can was so shocked she froze. Her trembling hand pushed the girl away.
When Momo realized the secret was out, she didn't leave. Instead, she immediately took Ming Can's hand and guided it to her fluffy ears and tail.
“The tail and ears you like to touch are still here.”
After letting Ming Can touch them, Momo held her even tighter. Her round eyes, hidden from Ming Can's sight, glistened with tears, and her voice was full of anxiety.
“I'm not a monster. Can you please not send me away?”
