[Genshin Impact] I Play Conquest in an Adventure Game

After finally submitting the final draft of my thesis, I decided to reward myself with a game.

I took the recommendation and downloaded the supposedly thrilling full-dive game, [The Sims: Teyvat].

I entered the game and was randomly assigned the starting map, [The Forsaken Land].

After stripping the resources from my birthplace, I indulged my deep-rooted love of settling down and started building up the place.

I named my territory, which was only as big as a village, [Khaenri'ah]. After adding every explorable area to Khaenri'ah's territory, I maxed out its technology, culture, religion, and residents' happiness...

Then I discovered a new map, [Teyvat], and launched a war of conquest.

But halfway through the fighting, my thesis was rejected, so I chose to take a temporary break from the game.

When I opened it again, the kingdom I'd worked so hard to build was gone...

In a fury, I reloaded... Then I reloaded again and again. After more than ten furious attempts, I finally unlocked the supreme achievements [Twilight of the Gods] and [As Far as the Eye Can See, All Is the King's Territory].

Satisfied, I quit the game for good...

So why on earth did a trope that's been outdated for ages, getting transported into a game, have to happen to me?!
