[Detective Conan] Jinpei Matsuda Has Been Trapped on a Ferris Wheel for Five Days

A fun little brainchild to leave on the shelf

Sorry, Matsuda, but this was a wicked idea that went from conception to completion in under five minutes. Just bear with it (affectionately).

You're a fanfic writer, and you get stuck while writing the scene where Jinpei Matsuda is about to die in the line of duty.

You can't bear to let it happen, so you scratch your head and plan to save him. You scratch your head some more, but can't make the logic work, so you give up and leave it for now. You'll write it when you think of something.

Five days later, you get a text on your phone: [Explode already]

You casually delete the spam.

Five minutes later, another message arrives: [It's been five days. Why haven't I exploded yet?]

You casually block the spam number.

Blocking doesn't work, and you keep receiving messages: [I'm about to explode]

With a piece of bread in your mouth, you panic and think it over. You decide to call the police, but first you ask: [Who are you?]

Matsuda Jinpei on the other end: I've been stuck on the Ferris wheel for five whole days.

You correct him: It's been four and a half days.

Matsuda Jinpei: This countdown still jumps sometimes.

You: Well... I was going to use the countdown and a life-flashing-before-your-eyes scene as a transition.

Matsuda Jinpei: It stopped at "3."

You: Because I couldn't write any more!

Matsuda Jinpei: Hurry up and explode!

You: Sumimasen! Honto ni sumimasen!

You hurriedly finish the chapter, working frantically without a clue what you're doing.

Though he said, "Hurry up and explode," you clearly heard him saying, "Save me." (Matsuda Jinpei: ?)

Rescue accomplished. Great, now you can go to sleep and ignore the bug.

You close your eyes, then open them again... Can someone tell you why you've become a resident of Beika Town, and why a police officer is knocking on your door?

The answer: Because the world needs to be logical! Whoever caused the bug is responsible for it!

The story is told in third person.

Theme: A place to leave brainchildren on the shelf
