The Cool, Ethereal Demon Empress Is Carrying My Child

"Lord Zhen has once again been kept overnight by the Demon Empress."

"Zhen Qingchuan is a treacherous minister!"

Zhen Qingchuan's reputation is gradually ruined. That's what happens when she becomes the favored servant of the Demon Empress, Luo Songwan.

She spends day and night with the empress dowager, as everyone at court knows. At first, the officials think she's being forced into it. But the moment she begins speaking up for Luo Songwan at court, public opinion turns against her.

Zhen Qingchuan never expected she would transmigrate one day.

History has always condemned the Huangqi Era of the Great Zhou Dynasty. When the late emperor died, the Demon Empress Luo Songwan killed the chief minister and the crown prince, bathed the capital in blood, and used ruthless force to establish a new emperor before the late emperor's coffin. She then took the throne herself and named her reign Huangqi.

Historians describe Luo Songwan as ruthless, cruel, and bloodthirsty.

The day Zhen Qingchuan first meets Luo Songwan, she is astonished by her beauty. Bright and cold, with an imposing older-sister aura, the woman reclines against her couch like a delicate porcelain doll.

Just as Zhen Qingchuan imagines, later, when they are together on the bed, Luo Songwan is a truly pampered beauty, her eyes reddening and her skin marked at the slightest touch.

At the time, Zhen Qingchuan has no idea that the beauty she's been teasing so mercilessly is the Demon Empress, Luo Songwan.

Not until she passes the palace examination and is named top scholar does she meet the high-and-mighty, resplendent beauty face-to-face. She can't help swallowing hard.

It takes a moment for her disgraceful thoughts to run wild before fear finally catches up with her.

That night, the top scholar is kept in the palace. She and the Demon Empress share a night of passion, and the empress removes her robes.

Under red curtains and on a hibiscus quilt, their phoenixes sing in harmony.

Only after becoming increasingly captivated does Zhen Qingchuan realize: This is bad. Historically, the empress dowager's lovers never ended well.

Luo Songwan: Trying to run? Too late.

*

When Luo Songwan entered the palace, the old emperor was already terminally ill. To prevent her from making him a retired emperor, he put her on the throne.

What the old emperor didn't know was that once Luo Songwan had power, she would never give it back. The new emperor wants to seize power? Then she'll become emperor herself.

But while carrying out her plan, she meets someone who wasn't part of it.

If she wants someone, she takes her!

Bonus scene: Zhen Qingchuan wonders what will happen if she gets the empress dowager pregnant.

If the empress dowager gets pregnant, both her favored lover and the child must die.

What if the empress dowager becomes emperor? Then their child will be emperor.
