My Boyfriend Is Nonhuman

1. Gu Yuan, Captain Gu, the strongest fighter in the Heretic Containment Bureau, has recently fallen head over heels in love.

At first, when the bureau wanted to hire an expert in Corruption abilities as a consultant, he dismissed the idea, saying that theory was no help in the field. But the moment he saw the expert, he changed his mind.

The new expert was soft and sweet, with a gentle voice. His big eyes were especially captivating, like a deer's, and it was hard not to fall for him when he looked at you.

For the first time, the usually icy Gu found himself falling in love. He stumbled through pursuing the man, but somehow managed to win him over.

After they started dating, everything was wonderful, except that his boyfriend was so shy that they never got beyond holding hands.

For some reason, though, Gu always woke up with dark red marks on his waist.

2. The bureau's work is complicated, so it's inevitable that you get to know a few people who operate in the gray areas.

Gu Yuan dealt with them very cautiously, but whenever they saw him, their behavior became strangely peculiar.

When they learned about his little boyfriend, they all lost their composure, looking as if they wanted to tear him limb from limb.

Gu Yuan thought they were being ridiculous.

Then, through a twist of fate during a case, he learned the truth.

It turned out this world was a novel, and he was a cannon-fodder top who was brutally abused by all the male leads. He was exposed while carrying out an undercover mission and met a grim end.

After that, he lost those memories and couldn't remember a thing.

Captain Gu took a look at the book. Though he was eventually fed to the fish, he'd completed his mission perfectly.

So he didn't take it to heart. He had plenty of work to do, so he got back to it.

3. Only after a mountain of work was done did Captain Gu remember that he seemed to have been neglecting his boyfriend for a long time.

He bought a gift and came home to make it up to him. But when he opened the door, he was greeted by a creature that barely looked human, except for a pair of eyes he knew all too well.

His usually gentle boyfriend looked anguished and despondent, and had chewed himself until he was covered in blood.

“Why did you have to remember...”

“You abandoned me, so why did you come back now...”

“Please, don't hate me. Don't leave me again...”

“Forget all of this...”

The last thing he remembered was his corrupted boyfriend using his ability.

All his memories connected to the man faded away.

4. A new theory consultant joined the bureau. Captain Gu dismissed him, until he saw him.

Gu Yuan watched the consultant introduce himself with a warm smile. Memories surged back like a tide, and he fell silent.

...So this person, no, this thing had manually started a new game?

“Hello, I'm the new consultant,” the man said with a smile.

He looked as warm and approachable as he had when they first met.

Note: 1. One-on-one romance

2. Bottom-focused

3. The top is a tentacle monster

4. The top never bullied the bottom. In the novel, he was the “fish,” though technically he was an octopus ()
