I Realized I'd Flirted with the Wrong Person After Breaking Off the Engagement

Ye Yixi had been single since birth for 27 years and a corporate drone for three. Then her wealthy biological parents suddenly claimed her, and she gained a rich fiancé, too.

But then she heard this fiancé she'd never met say she was dull and easy to control, and that marrying an honest girl like her would be great for having kids. Even if she got mad, he wouldn't have to comfort her.

Ye Yixi immediately stormed over, determined to show him just how fiery an honest girl's temper could be.

But when she saw her fiancé, she realized he looked nothing like his photo. If the photo was bare-faced, the real man had a beauty filter turned all the way up.

And he was nothing like the playboy the rumors described. He was cool, aloof, chaste, and so noble and untouchable that even looking at him felt like sacrilege.

She decided on the spot not to break off the engagement just yet. She'd let this gorgeous, sharp-tongued man experience what it was like to be toyed with by an honest girl.

Things went more smoothly than she'd expected. In less than three months, she successfully got him into bed.

Then she dropped a line: "You're too honest and too easy to comfort. Let's break up."

She blocked him everywhere, called off the engagement, and got her revenge.

Less than three days later, a strange man showed up at her door, shouting and demanding to know why she'd broken off their engagement.

Ye Yixi: ...?

You're my fiancé? Then who have I been kissing and cuddling with all this time for the past three months?

At the first banquet she attended with her parents, she ran into the man she'd "dumped" just two days earlier: Gu Yanli.

As the head of the Gu family, he had methods and abilities that even her parents feared. He was the stuff of every socialite's dreams.

Rumor had it he was ruthless, vicious-tempered, and arrogant...

Ye Yixi knew she'd provoked someone she shouldn't have. Just as she tried to escape, someone picked her up around the waist and pulled her into a secluded corner.

A shadow fell over her. Familiar, warm lips grazed her ear, making it tingle.

"So you don't like honest men. Then I'll stop pretending."
