Scrounging for Food and Drink Means Becoming Someone's Wife

After her parents passed away, Xu Xingdi was left dependent on others. Every day, she went to class and worked part-time to make money.

Her roommate, Lu Pingye, was born with every advantage, surrounded by admirers and generous with his money.

Looking at her steadily shrinking wallet, Xu Xingdi had a flash of inspiration. She would get close to Lu Pingye and become his good friend, so she could enjoy delicious food every day!

Xu Xingdi's "Guide to Winning Over Lu Pingye":

"Sunny. Brother Lu has a fever. I checked on him and made him hot congee. To win a friend's heart, first win over his stomach!"

"Torrential rain. Brother Lu is in a bad mood. I gave him a loving hug and let him vent. While he's vulnerable, I'll take advantage of the opportunity!"

"Overcast. Brother Lu and I were surrounded by people. I stayed calm and faced the danger head-on. Hard times reveal true friendship!"

At first, Lu Pingye watched coldly, wondering what nonsense his pale, frail roommate was up to.

Later...

"The congee my roommate made is so good."

"Xu Xingdi is so gentle, and he smells so nice."

"Xingdi is so skinny, but he still helped me beat someone up."

"Xingxing is so different. He doesn't care about my money at all. I want to be his good friend!"

So after some time, Lu Pingye started showering him with gifts: limited-edition sneakers, bags, watches, sports cars...

Something seemed off. Were these really things you could give a friend?

Xu Xingdi grew increasingly alarmed. Wait, I just wanted a meal of braised pork!

Finally, one day, Lu Pingye learned the truth. With red-rimmed eyes, he pinned Xu Xingdi against the wall. "Were you getting close to me just for a meal?"

Xu Xingdi trembled. "Aah, this..."

In Lu Pingye's eyes, the pretty boy lowered his thick, long lashes, his body trembling as though he might burst into tears at any moment. Damn it, was he really unable to provide for this little foodie anymore?

Lu Pingye's face darkened. Through gritted teeth, he said, "Date me, and I'll make sure you eat well for the rest of your life."

Xu Xingdi: "? QAQ I knew all that stuff was Lu Pingye's future marriage fund! Sob."

Tips: Xingxing wasn't trying to scam him. He really did put his whole heart into being Brother Lu's friend. The silly boy just doesn't know how to express himself.
