She was A1007, employed by the female-oriented fiction division of the novel world, with the alias Mary Sue.
In her early days, her career was thriving. Every day, she played a Mary Sue heroine who woke up in a hundred-square-meter bed, had an IQ of 230, graduated from Harvard at twelve, held ten Nobel Prizes, was the richest person in the world, spoke 103 languages, was a top hacker, had a tenth-degree black belt in taekwondo, and sent every man in the country to the ICU just by stepping outside.
But her good fortune didn't last. The reputation of Mary Sue fiction plummeted, and it was branded idiotic drivel for brainless grade-schoolers. Her glory days were over, and now A1007 was facing unemployment.
Her performance had been dismal, and the web-novel administrator warned A1007 that if she failed to meet her KPI again this year, the System would permanently shut down the Mary Sue module. That meant she would soon be homeless, forced to scrape by as a bit player in some other kind of story.
Her former pride wouldn't let her back down. That night, she sneaked into the web-novel administration center. Facing a wall of instruments, A1007 swung a hammer down. She would make the entire web-novel world perish with her!
The System was damaged, causing anomalies in the web-novel world. A large number of characters were swept into stories they didn't belong in, including A1007.
When she woke again, A1007 had become the heroine of a youth-campus unrequited-love tragedy with a bad ending. The heroine was lying in a hospital bed, just twenty-three years old and nearing the end of her life.
The administrator's voice rang out: "A1007, the System was deliberately damaged two hours ago, causing a large number of bugs. Until the server is repaired, you must follow the original plot of your current novel and reach its assigned ending. You must not make unauthorized changes. This is the only way to ensure your safe return to the main control platform. Reply with 1 if you understand."
"What 1..."
"Understood."
The voice vanished with a beep.
Wait. A1007 opened her eyes. So... had she gone back to work?
A1007 kicked off the covers, yanked out her oxygen mask and IV, and slapped the male lead, whom the heroine had secretly loved for ten years, unconscious as he rushed in and tried to speak.
Her biased parents also rushed forward to restrain her.
"Su Jiujiu, have you gone crazy?!"
A1007 gave each of the old couple a slap, then kicked away her younger brother when he tried to intervene. She burst through the door and raced down the hospital corridor, laughing wildly.
Nobody could stop her. This time, she, Mary Sue, would take back everything she'd lost!

Because the System is malfunctioning, the heroine will randomly enter stories of different genres and wreck their original plots. Protagonists from other genres will also randomly end up in different roles. Expect a chaotic mash-up.
The heroine is a Mary Sue and a universally adored heartthrob. A straight woman of iron, she unwittingly flirts with everyone, gathering female and male admirers in every world while focusing solely on rebuilding her Mary Sue career.
