Synopsis

The print edition has been published and is now available. See Weibo @Wencheng Sanbaijin for details.

The summer she was fourteen, Jiang Xia met Xie Ran on a forum, a brilliant young genius who wrote science fiction.

They became each other's best friends.

When she was sad, she called him. When she had nowhere to stay, she went to his rented apartment. When she had no friends, he introduced her to lots of people.

That summer night, there were countless stars above and all around them. They sat shoulder to shoulder on the rooftop, gazing at the sky.

He smiled at her in the evening breeze and said, "Jiang Xia, I'll be here to watch you grow up."

Later, Jiang Xia grew up.

She was no longer alone, no longer that girl stumbling through life, and no longer bursting into tears whenever something upsetting happened.

There were still countless stars on summer nights. She curled up alone beneath her blanket and watched movies, and still couldn't help crying at the sad parts.

But the person who used to comfort her was gone.

Mutual healing, tragic ending

Theme: Every moment and every event in life should be poetic.
