Say It Again and I'll Hear You

[Rekindled Love | Tension and Yearning | Cool and Detached x Chaste and Restrained]

Su Zhouzhou first met Luo Jiashu as a teenager, during a winter in Bonn, Germany.

Her hearing in her left ear was poor, and she couldn't make out sounds very well. At a party, someone called her, but she didn't hear. A young man leaned over, snow clinging to his black hair, and handed her a glass of champagne.

She was attending a language course, and he was a student at the local university. They were strangers who had crossed paths by chance, each with something to gain.

They had walked side by side along snowy streets, and kissed and tangled together in a little winter pub after leaving the opera house.

When they broke up, neither of them said goodbye.

Su Zhouzhou saw Luo Jiashu again while working on an art exhibition project.

At the party, she saw the young philosophy professor. A friend, curious about the subtle atmosphere between them, asked if they had met before. She quietly answered, "I don't know him."

But that night...

In a room on the hotel's highest floor, with the city's golden lights blazing outside, the young man leaned over her in the bathtub, letting clear water run over her bare skin, his head bowed.

Then, little by little, he kissed her dry.
