He Told Me to Take It Easy

Qin recently realized that some strange changes seemed to be happening in his life.

For example, his favorite keyboard had suddenly started malfunctioning. He distinctly remembered turning it off, but whenever he got up in the middle of the night, he could always see it glowing...

Most baffling of all, the readers who used to howl about sending him razor blades had recently started saying, "So sweet, so sweet" in the comments.

So Qin, a web novelist notorious for writing bad endings, opened one of his own stories for the first time. That was when he discovered that something seemed to have gone wrong with it.

For instance, in scenes where the characters were supposed to misunderstand each other and keep their feelings bottled up, the leads had suddenly grown mouths. And in endings where they were supposed to be parted by life and death, a miraculous doctor would suddenly appear and turn everything into a happy ending for the whole family...

Qin: ...???

After investigating from every angle, he finally discovered that the problem lay with the keyboard he had painstakingly customized.

#Wasn't cultivation supposed to be forbidden after the founding of the country?#

#How can a keyboard cultivate?#

#What should I do when my keyboard is always working against me?#

To get back to writing normally, Qin tried switching keyboards, computers, phones, and even apartments. None of it worked. The "keyboard spirit" was everywhere, seizing every second to rewrite his stories.

With no other choice, Qin tried bribing the keyboard with lavish gifts: the most comfortable keyboard, the prettiest keycaps, and switches with just the right resistance. The keyboard spirit still wasn't satisfied.

"Gently! You're going to break me!"

"Don't do that, I'm going to cry, boo-hoo..."

"Aaaaaah! You can't touch there!"

Qin: ...Could you stop making it sound so easy to misunderstand?

Eventually, everyone learned that the notorious bad-ending author on a certain platform had gone straight. Each new book of his was sweeter than the last, and readers howled that they were going to get diabetes.

At an interview during an authors' convention, the host asked, "What caused such a sudden change in your style?"

Qin (smiling): "Because the person at home doesn't like bad endings."

Readers: "Aaaah! He went straight for love! This is even sweeter than the books!"

Theme: There is beauty all around us in life.
