Little scene:
In their most devotedly romantic year, Mu You trekked across the desert just to slash Jiang Yin's tire. Who says this kind of pure love isn't good? It's the very best.
Synopsis:
Jiang Yin has lost her memory. Her recorded memories begin on the day she woke up, and continue until Mu You shows up with a familiar wooden bracelet. After secretly comparing it over and over, she decides to take on the job and find out what connects them, as well as recover her own memories.
She never imagined that a future photograph of herself would end up in the hands of her past self...
At first, Mu You found Jiang Yin and asked her to be his guide. But when Mu You returned to the past for the second time, he realized that this was only the beginning.
His master's friend introduced him to a famous guide. Mu You found Jiang Yin and got ready to set out. He was so eager to get the whole thing over with that he failed to notice he had already been caught in a trap the moment he met his master's friend.
"There can only be one of you in each world, because the world has assigned you a task of your own. After conducting many experiments, I concluded that if I enter a world line that has already perished, I remain myself. But if I enter a world that has not yet perished, a new version of me appears at a random point in time. I believe I have a consciousness of my own, but differences in experience and temperament mean that I may not necessarily be myself. Each time I travel back, I gain more knowledge and start over, which is why I call that version of me a new self. After all, every version of me is different. The old self is just a stepping stone that lets the new self uncover the mysteries. Only by killing the old self can I ensure that I remain myself." Mu You's master's friend said. But these words were so profound that after hearing them, Mu You could barely recognize the word "I."
But when Mu You traveled back to the past and unconsciously repeated something he had done during his previous visit, a strange cycle began. It was an inescapable Mobius strip.
From where I stand in the present, the future branches into different paths. But from where you stand in the future, the past is just one straight line.
After traveling back an unknown number of times, that person grew tired. They went to Jiang Yin, put a tea-colored jade fish pendant around her neck, and left her a clue. Then they set up a stall at the market to sell wooden bracelets, deliberately placing a stone hairpin, a glass crown, and gold earrings there, waiting for the "kindred spirit" they had chosen through repeated tests to discover them.
Reading guide and warnings:
1. The heroine can fight and think for herself. She looks like a wild, unruly rose, but she's actually kindhearted, innocent, and loyal. The hero isn't much of a fighter, but he's clever.
2. The timelines and world lines intertwine. The author is a little unhinged from writing it, too. If you can't follow it, that's on my abilities, so don't be mad; just hit the exit button in the upper-left corner.
3. The plot takes precedence over the romance. The story mainly follows the leads, with some supporting-character subplots to fill in the story and, along the way, leave more mysteries.
4. No real-life inspirations. There are mountains of original worldbuilding, so please don't overanalyze it.
5. The heroine likes teasing the hero early on, while being oblivious to her own feelings. The hero understands what's going on and is happy to go along with it.
6. Updates are occasional before the paid chapters begin, then daily afterward.
7. No one is perfect. It's our imperfections that make us human. If you don't like the characters I've written, I hope you'll stop reading in time instead of getting upset and making yourself ill.
