So, in a fit of anger, Zenin Koukai changed her surname to Kurokawa, her mother's surname.

Kurokawa Mom: "Good girl, Mom will teach you how to get by in the Zenin family."

Kurokawa Koukai (seriously): "Mm-hmm, okay, okay."

And so Kurokawa Koukai happily joined Zenin Toji in beating Zenin Naoya into a model of gentlemanly virtue, and became besties (?) with 5t5, too.

The whole Zenin family lost it when they saw a crowd of cursed spirits surrounding Kurokawa Koukai, whining at her with unusual affection.

Elder One: "Why are there so many cursed spirits?! And why aren't they attacking anyone?!"

Elder Two: "Kurokawa Koukai, what have you done?! You don't have cursed energy, do you?! How did you tame them?!"

Elder Three: "Aaaah, somebody help! They're smearing themselves all over my face!"
