Hey, Kid, Think You're Pretty Cool, Huh? [Esports]

A sister story in the same series as Kid, You're Pretty Cocky [Esports]

During the summer after the college entrance exams, Su Mo entered an esports tournament organized by a commercial event. The first-place prize was 8,000 yuan.

Determined to win the prize money, he fought his way through one opponent after another. During the pre-finals trash-talk round, Su Mo tapped his fingers against the keyboard.

"At least right now, nobody can compete with me when it comes to playing assassins."

When it was his opponent's turn to talk, the esports chair spun around, revealing a face he knew all too well. The man leaned back in his chair, holding a strawberry-flavored lollipop.

At the host's introduction, he raised his eyes. There was a hint of amusement in his gaze, but it didn't reach his eyes.

"Kid, you're pretty cocky..."

"Too bad you ran into me. You picked a fight with the wrong guy."

It was Fang Lingyi.

Once the strongest assassin in the country, he had been the one who led Su Mo into the esports scene.

Three years after disappearing, they met again, competing for an 8,000-yuan prize.

After the competition, Su Mo thought they wouldn't cross paths again, until he received a friend request that night.

[Fang Lingyi: Interested in becoming the strongest assassin in the country right now?]

Su Mo accepted without hesitation.

Later, EOF announced Fang Lingyi's retirement, Su Mo took his place, and the club rose to success, winning a world-class tournament just two years later.

In an interview, Su Mo held his gold medal and looked calmly into the camera as he finally said what he'd kept bottled up day and night for the past two years.

"I've never cared about being the strongest assassin. I joined this scene and entered EOF to uncover the truth about what happened back then."

"Fang Lingyi was devoted to esports his entire life. He never threw a match."

"It's been five years. I need to clear his name."
