I'm on My Way

Xu Xiaotang first met Lu Zhibai at the hospital, where she called him "Uncle." But this "uncle," who had no blood or moral ties to her and was only four years older, didn't seem all that different from other boys his age.

In everyone's eyes, Lu Zhibai was a typical success: handsome, accomplished, and young. But Xu Xiaotang discovered that he couldn't cook, was a serious germaphobe, clingy, and a little vain.

Lu Zhibai would envy her high school life, complain about the hot pot balls she cooked, and go everywhere with her. Xu Xiaotang gradually grew accustomed to having someone by her side who cared for her wholeheartedly.

Part of a series of stories inspired by a single scene... I originally wanted to write a sweet story full of playful bickering, but as the setting developed and the characters' fates took shape, the story gradually turned into a bad ending. (I'm so sorry, I love bad endings.)
