[Third-Person Narration, Matsuda Pairing]
I'm a rookie private detective who inherited a detective agency on the verge of closing down, along with a bizarre Detective System. It even colors blood green in its illustrations!
Though I only get one case a month, I refuse to give in to the status quo!
All right, I'm off to look for a cat.
Wait, Officer, did you really file a case about "Why do fish drown in water"?
A certain curly-haired officer: I think that's your problem.jpg

Matsuda keeps hearing someone whisper about his doomed fate at twenty-six and fireworks over a Ferris wheel, trying to make him a deathbed hotline operator. But don't worry, he's now a mature and level-headed twenty-nine-year-old detective.
It's just that he sees the guy who said, "Leave everything around here to me," the last time they met, standing on a wobbling stack of boxes trying to reach a cat, fighting it on equal terms.
Matsuda: ?
A certain detective: ...It's going to fall, it's going to fall!!!

A detective who strikes fear into the hearts of criminals has recently appeared in Beika Town. No impossible crime can stand up to him.
Reporter (excited): How did you figure out who committed this crime?
A certain detective: It's a long story. First, he was in the way while I was looking for a cat.
Tips:
1. Matsuda pairing, but with the twenty-nine-year-old version. Switch. A detective who's absurd with a hint of reliability, and a police officer who's reliable with a hint of absurdity.
3. The timeline will probably be heavily altered, with some original settings. Everyone gets saved.
4. The title and blurb may change, but the core won't.
5. Apologies in advance for any out-of-character moments or logic errors.

Theme: The best way to overcome fear is to face it head-on.
