Main story complete
Ning Zhen He and Yan Zhong Heng's marriage began with a joke between their grandfathers.
After five years of marriage, she had been swallowing her grievances for the sake of her family.
Her husband's family looked down on her for marrying above her station and never treated her as the mistress of the household. Her birth family blamed her for being useless and unable to bear a son to secure their position.
Though her husband did not want to touch her, he at least treated her with the proper respect. That gave her a little hope, and she thought she might eventually warm his heart.
Until he brought his cousin into the household because she had borne him no son, tacitly agreeing to take her as a concubine.
Ning Zhen He's heart sank to the bottom.
That very day, her younger sister-in-law shoved her into a wall, and she hit her head, losing five years of memories.
Back to her just-come-of-age self, she had no patience for putting up with anyone. Once she learned what had happened, anger surged through her. Husband? Fine, then they could divorce!
*
Yan Zhong Heng came from an eminent family and had been disciplined and proper since childhood.
He held high office, and his wife was dignified and virtuous. Though their marriage had initially been a source of great displeasure to him, over the years their life together had become peaceful and happy.
But one day, his usually gentle wife suddenly became distant. Her thoughts were no longer on him, and she even threw flowers at a victorious general returning from war.
At first, he paid it no mind. That was, until he heard her tell a close friend, "It's only a concubine. Let him take one if he wants. General Fu is tall and strong, and so gentle. Why didn't I marry a man like him?"
Yan Zhong Heng was struck hard, but could only console himself that she was teasing.
But later, his wife really did put a divorce agreement before him and said bluntly, "We're not right for each other. Let's divorce."
Master Yan, usually so calm and composed, had a shadowy gaze, gloom surging in his eyes.
Divorce? Absolutely not.
A little scene:
Months later, Master Yan came to pester her for what seemed like the umpteenth time.
Ning Zhen He glanced at him coolly. Since they had fallen out, there was no need to keep up a friendly facade. "A melon forced from the vine isn't sweet. You can find someone more suitable without me."
To her surprise, he turned around. His white sleeping robe hung open to his abdomen. Though he had the build of a civil official, his full chest muscles showed through, and at his chest there was even a faintly visible... ring.
"If there's anything that doesn't suit you, we can work it out. I'll be better than Fu Ze."
Ning Zhen He's pupils contracted, and her cheeks suddenly flushed.

Next upcoming novel: After Rebirth, My Husband Turned Out to Be My Brother-in-Law
On the seventh day after her husband's death, Qu Yao Yu woke up and was shocked to discover that she had slept with her brother-in-law. The marks all over their bodies made what had happened clear.
She thought she would meet a terrible end, but her brother-in-law merely said, "Come back with me to Luoheng Residence. I'll inform your aunt tomorrow." Having endured her mother-in-law's torment for so long, she readily agreed.
For the next ten years, Xiao Ting Shu treated her extremely well. The only strange thing was that he wouldn't let her go out alone, and wouldn't even let her smile at another man, not even a servant boy.
But an accident took Xiao Ting Shu's life, and she was poisoned by the Xiao clan elders for having an affair with her husband's older brother.
After being reborn, when she saw Xiao Ting Shu again, she called him her husband and instinctively threw herself into his arms.
To her surprise, Xiao Ting Shu frowned and quickly dodged to the side. Qu Yao Yu fell into the nearby grass, her hair in disarray and her clothes covered in mud.
Xiao Ting Shu, who had always called her his darling in a tender voice, not only looked cold, but had shock and revulsion in his eyes.
"Sister-in-law, you must have mistaken me for someone else."
Qu Yao Yu went pale, but the words that followed made her feel as if she had fallen into hell.
"You've married my third brother. I hope you'll mind your conduct in the future and never do anything disgraceful or improper."
As he spoke, a slender, elegant woman stood beside him, a striking contrast to Qu Yao Yu's flirtatious and brazen appearance. After delivering his warning, Xiao Ting Shu walked away beside her.
Only then did Qu Yao Yu realize that her former husband was still alive.
And Xiao Ting Shu, her brother-in-law, had not been reborn like her. He even had a fiancee.
As head of the Lanling Xiao clan, Xiao Ting Shu had always been diligent and scrupulous, disciplined and proper. If nothing unexpected happened, he would marry the fiancee he had chosen, and they would treat each other with respect and advance together.
Until his younger brother married.
Xiao Ting Shu disliked his new sister-in-law. He thought she was flirtatious and timid, and never took care of proper matters. A woman like her would surely hold his younger brother back someday.
He grew to hate the sight of her, and Qu Yao Yu gradually kept her distance from him.
Until, in the end, he felt he had gone mad, wanting to do something so shameless as kill his brother and steal his wife.
Reader's guide:
The female lead is spoiled, cries easily, and is fragile. The male lead dislikes her at first, then gets his comeuppance.
The female lead has been with other people, while the male lead has not. In his previous life, the male lead used force to take her, but the female lead was too foolish to realize it.
The second male lead does not die in the second lifetime. He competes with the male lead for the heroine.
The male lead breaks down and pursues his wife; he gradually remembers his past life.
Theme: Never forget your original intentions
It's a bit forced. It happens that no one can be caught, and it happens to be delivered. It happens that the male and female protagonists are paired with female protagonists. The female protagonist is given to the female protagonist in the early stage of suffering and the female protagonist in the later period. These male characters just lose their love... This chapter writes the heroine as if she has reduced her intelligence. Many things about the male protagonist indicate that he is going for the female protagonist. He is still so big-hearted that he goes out of the city and walks around at night. There is no need to use the wisdom of the heroine to set off the male protagonist.
The scumbag still has some dignity. The heroine who was harmed by his own family did not apologize immediately but even threatened to do it [changed]
Sorry, I really can't do this if line 😭. I thought that going back in time would make those who bullied the heroine secretly feel defeated [changed]
It ended suddenly, I still prefer the second male lead. Congratulations on the completion.
He's so capable and he actually wrote a text immediately [make me healthy]
When I think about the fact that the male protagonist really wanted to take a concubine before, which caused the female protagonist misery, I think I shouldn't look back.
The hostess poured the wine and was let go just like that? Abandoned, boring
I've finished watching it, my dear. Since I'm jumping through it, I want to ask, is the male protagonist ever really willing to take a concubine?
I want to see the follow-up of the YF line. I think this setting is quite interesting.
"Dude?" "Catch a big bug for the author~ livelihood
