A Young Physician's Everyday Rise to Prosperity in Bianjing

Hu Shaokang transmigrates to Bianjing, the Northern Song capital, and into a family renowned for medicine.

His father runs a medical clinic, and his uncle works at the Imperial Medical Bureau. Unfortunately, none of that has much to do with twelve-year-old Hu Shaokang.

He's the un favored son born to his father's seventh concubine.

Living in Bianjing is no easy matter.

In the front courtyard, his two legitimate older brothers compete for the family fortune, while in the back, the matriarch and eight concubines tear into one another.

To make a comfortable life for himself in ancient times, Hu Shaokang rolls up his sleeves and diligently takes up his old profession from his previous life: that of a barefoot doctor.

And so, in the bustling city of Bianjing, where government offices tower, cooking smoke rises above the streets, merchants throng the markets, silk-clad night wanderers return home, the waterways of Jiangnan lend their charm, and the golden halls gleam, a refined and handsome young physician quietly appears.*

With his medical case on his back and firm steps beneath him, he weaves through the streets and alleys of Bianjing, measuring the city step by step and easing the suffering of countless families.

Before long, the young physician's reputation spreads through Bianjing: "Goodness, the young master may be young, but he's a brilliant doctor!"

Young Master Hu Shaokang blushes at the praise.

Healing the sick and saving lives is a basic duty of any physician. Beyond doing his job, he also hopes to earn a little more money and enjoy a comfortable, leisurely life in this era.

P.S. 1: *The verse is quoted from the internet.

P.S. 2: The daily life of a young physician building his fortune, warm and gentle with a slow pace, focused on life among ordinary people, with a hint of an ensemble cast. There is a female lead, but not much romance.

Theme: May all go as you wish, and may you enjoy good health at every step.
