Banished, I Made a Fortune with My Cooking

Top Chef Yu Baozhu transmigrated.

She became the legitimate daughter of a former Vice Minister of Revenue, whose whole family had been exiled to guard the frontier.

Her scholar father couldn't lift a finger, her noblewoman mother couldn't do a stitch of work, and her older brother was a clueless fool.

The family of four was short on both money and food, and on the verge of starving.

With no other choice, Yu Baozhu took on the burden of earning money to support her family.

She set up a food stall, opened a restaurant, built an inn, and drew in diners and silver by the cartload!

They say that ever since Yu Baozhu picked up her ladle and opened the doors of the Delicacies House, everyone stationed at the frontier had lost a little weight from their purses and gained a little around the waist.

Before entering the Delicacies House, they clutched their purses and grumbled.

When they came out, they rubbed their bellies, completely satisfied.

The old princess had married from the northern deserts to the Central Plains when she was young. Now that she was old, she missed her homeland dearly.

The emperor showed mercy and allowed her to return home for a visit.

On her way back from the visit, she passed through the frontier and ate a bowl of rice topped with shark fin and safflower at the Delicacies House.

Then... she changed her mind and decided she didn't want to return to the capital. She wrote to her son, Prince Yan Sui Qian: Son, tell the emperor to exile me to the frontier too. The food here is just too good.

Sui Qian: ?

Where's my mother? Who abducted my mother?

#Your mom ditched you over a bowl of rice#

#What kind of rice is so delicious?#

#You already abducted my mother, so it wouldn't be too much to abduct me too, would it?#
