[Autistic Female Watchmaker vs Devoted, Direct Merchant]
For twenty-four years, Bo Gu drifted overseas, alone and tormented by mental illness. Only in the world of precision mechanics could she find peace of mind.
She found her heart's rhythm in the metallic sounds of gears turning.
[I'm going back to the steampunk world.]
After leaving this note, Bo Gu leaped from the twenty-third floor, ending her young life.
Her final gift to the world was three mechanical watches she had made by hand.
Years later, the three watches appeared at famous auction houses at home and abroad, where watch enthusiasts and collectors competed to buy them.
Bo Gu's name became famous around the world, synonymous with a genius watchmaker.
After changing hands many times, one of the watches was put up for auction in Geneva. Jiang Yuwu, a merchant from Hong Kong, bought it for 41.5 million dollars, setting a record for the highest price ever paid at a watch auction.
By then, the name Bo Gu had become distant and mysterious to Jiang Yuwu.
It was only much later that the dramatic story of Bo Gu's life came to light: abandoned by her parents as a child, adopted by foster parents overseas, then left to fend for herself when they died.
Gifted yet mentally ill, she had been sent to psychiatric hospitals twice and stubbornly believed she did not belong in this world.
No one knew what she was feeling as she created her works from tiny mechanical parts.
In the dimness of a long night, a tall, slender man stood in profile, his features deep and elegant, his bearing composed. In the still darkness, he heard the watch's tightly interlocking mechanisms, ticking like a heartbeat.
Through the watch, he felt what Bo Gu had thought and felt many years ago.
He remembered the watchmaker named Bo Gu.

One day, Bo Gu was strolling along a street in Switzerland when she met a Chinese man.
He was the most handsome man she had ever seen.
Dressed in a black suit, the man was solemn and dignified, standing in the glow of the sunset along the banks of the Zurich River, untouched by the dust of the world.
In her withered, decaying life, he was like a beam of pure morning light, quietly illuminating the darkness in her heart.
"Your name is Bo Gu."
Jiang Yuwu's voice was deep and clear. He took the expensive mechanical watch from his pale wrist and placed it in Bo Gu's palm.
"Can you fix it for me?"
Later, one of Jiang Yuwu's friends adopted Bo Gu, and Jiang Yuwu naturally became the "Uncle Jiang" she called him.

Another year, on a snowy day, in the crystalline glass house beneath the long polar night of Northern Europe.
Bo Gu lay down beside the fireplace. A man lay behind her, holding her tightly in his arms.
He lowered his head and kissed the small of her back, then whispered,
"Bo Gu, this world belongs to you. Please don't leave."
Bo Gu turned over and wrapped her arms around his neck. "And you, Uncle Jiang?"
"I belong to you, too."
He held her tightly and gave her a deep kiss on that winter night.
