As the divine child of the fox demon clan, Shuyu is either expanding his territory or driving back enemies.
He'd say there isn't a demon in the whole demon realm with a harder life than his. He never expected the Fox King to seal him away out of selfish desire, causing the fox demon clan he'd painstakingly built up from the bottom to the point where it could rival the leopard cats to fall apart.
Shuyu: My fists are clenched. My fists are clenched!
But as they say, misfortunes never come singly. Just when he finally breaks out of that lightless seal, a piece of his soul is bitten off by the Shikon Jewel. Then, when the jewel shatters, his soul breaks into countless fragments scattered in every direction.
Shuyu: I'm tired. Let's destroy everything. Exhausted smile.jpg
Luckily, things haven't reached the point of no return.
Shuyu grabs hold of a man who's always in confinement after childbirth. After a friendly exchange (of force), the man finally agrees to have his children help collect the Shikon Jewel for him.
His partner in this venture is always scheming behind his back, but Shuyu doesn't mind. He can always use his overwhelming strength to teach the other man what it means to behave himself.
At last, Shuyu gathers the Shikon Jewel and retrieves his soul. Deeply moved, he smiles and thanks his partner, then gives him the crematorium package so he'll never have to worry about insomnia again.
Shuyu in the demon realm's eyes: The Fox King's number-one mad dog, a violent nine-tailed divine child
Shuyu in the eyes of the heir to the Western Lands: Pretty strong, but not the brightest
Shuyu in his own eyes: Gentle and dignified, a life mentor who wins people over with virtue
Theme: Reject moral blackmail and oppose psychological manipulation through guilt!
