When Yu Xingchen meets her benefactor Lou Siwei again, she tries everything she can to be good to him. But it leads to a misunderstanding: he thinks she likes him, and lists a whole series of things to prove it:
“You were afraid I’d get scolded, so you told me to ask you whenever I had questions. You wanted to make me personalized study notes. You wouldn’t let me smoke or drink. You volunteered to investigate the truth and clear my name.”
Lou Siwei listed them one by one, seeming to feel more and more fulfilled with every example. A smile crept onto his face. “You bought me lollipops, too. Oh, and breakfast every day.”
Yu Xingchen explained why she had done all that: to repay his kindness.
Lou Siwei: “Everyone knows that repaying a debt of gratitude usually means offering yourself in marriage. What you’ve done isn’t nearly enough.”
“...”
Later, the whole school knew that Lou Siwei was passionately pursuing Yu Xingchen.
Over the winter break before the college entrance exam, they agreed to apply to the same university.
“Pinky swear. A hundred years, no takebacks.”
“Stamp it.”
But as soon as the exam was over, their vow that “a hundred years, no takebacks” crumbled. Yu Xingchen received a message from him: “Forget me. I only transferred to this dump because I was bored. I’m going back to a bigger world. Goodbye forever.”
Seven years later.
When they met again, they said nothing and never reached out afterward. Yu Xingchen even relived the painful experience of being abandoned every day, as if to punish herself and keep herself in check.
Until the truth from seven years ago came to light. If she had been in his place, she would have made the same choice.
Lou Siwei: “The stars shine bright, but I don’t want them all. One Xingchen is enough for me.”
Reader notes:
* They reunite after a long separation. Happy ending. The male and female leads remain devoted to each other, body and soul.
* School life in the first part, workplace in the second.
* The male lead never fell out of love. He had a reason for leaving the female lead.

Plot blurb
Yan Qing’s close friend from middle school suddenly disappears. She has extraordinary eyesight and can see places thousands of miles away, like a human surveillance camera.
While investigating a suspicious person, Yan Qing discovers a spray that can kill without a trace. Anyone sprayed with it instantly melts into a puddle of water.
As the investigation deepens, she uncovers a shocking conspiracy...
Romance blurb
Yan Qing is a fan of actor Ju Hanhai’s roles, but he has no idea who she is.
When they first meet, Ju Hanhai warily apologizes for suddenly appearing in her home.
The second time they meet, Ju Hanhai glares at her angrily. “I don’t know what trick you used to make me appear here, but I hope you’ll keep yourself in check. Otherwise, I won’t go easy on you.”
Yan Qing’s face darkens. “This is my place. If anyone should be threatening to call the police, it should be me, because you trespassed on my property.”
They part on bad terms.
But although they can’t stand each other, both want to get closer to the other. Not because they’ve fallen for each other, but... eventually, they can’t help falling for each other.
An upbeat, sunny sunflower of a female lead x a cool, slow-to-warm-up male lead with principles
