May Time Be Kind

A young master who's shamelessly flirtatious x a cool, slow-to-warm designer

At a business mixer, an acquaintance teased Ji Wuyang: "Wasn't Shen Shiguang your childhood bride? How come you two never got together?"

Shen Shiguang explained, "That was never a thing."

Ji Wuyang glanced at her and gave an almost inaudible scoff, saying nothing.

.

Later, at a friend's wedding, Ji Wuyang walked over to Shen Shiguang in his best-man suit, tall and handsome, holding a cold drink.

"Help me with my cufflinks," he said.

A few seconds later, he sucked on his straw and said casually, "Shen Shiguang, the way you're looking at me, I'd think you still liked me."

Shen Shiguang was silent for a moment. "Mm-hm."

Ji Wuyang froze.

"Ji Wuyang," Shen Shiguang asked seriously, "if I pursued you, would you say yes?"

Ji Wuyang's Adam's apple bobbed. "Then... give it a try?"

Bonus Scene:

At the wedding, it was time for the bride to toss her bouquet. Ji Wuyang suddenly stood up and wedged his six-foot frame behind a group of women to grab it.

His friend scoffed. "Aren't you against marriage?"

"Am I?" Ji Wuyang smirked and said casually, "I think I'd be pretty good at being married."

"Damn."
