Don't Mess With Me, I'll Go Crazy [The 1970s]

Wen Jingxiu never turns her anger inward, only outward. Every mistake is someone else's fault, which has earned her the nickname "madwoman."

After transmigrating into a period novel as a cannon-fodder passerby who only appears for half a chapter, Wen Jingxiu lets loose even more.

Her cheap grandma wants her to go to the countryside in place of her cousin?

Wen Jingxiu snatches away her bowl and chopsticks. "Grandma, you're a money-losing girl too. What are you eating for? You'd be better off feeding the dog!"

Her cousin berates her for being unfilial?

Wen Jingxiu aims a kick at his weak spot. "This is all your fault. You grew an extra pound of flesh, making Grandma run around after you. It'd be easier if I kicked it off."

Letting loose at home isn't enough. Wen Jingxiu lets loose at work, too.

She doesn't hesitate to call her idiot boss an idiot, and she doesn't go easy on coworkers who bully others. Her motto is that no one gets to make her feel wronged.

Wen Jingxiu's wonderfully unhinged attitude has made her plenty of enemies.

Unable to deal with her, they can only secretly curse that her future partner will be old, ugly, and promiscuous, and most importantly, able to give Wen Jingxiu a thorough dressing-down on their behalf.

A young engineer named Chen Xiu, handsome and backed by powerful connections, arrives at the factory. Plenty of young women fall for him, only to be put off by his cold demeanor.

They assume he is conceited and looks down on girls from small towns. But one day, they see him chatting animatedly with Wen Jingxiu, and he even publicly confesses his love just three days after meeting her.

When the news gets out, plenty of people are crushed, especially those who have had a run-in with Wen Jingxiu!

What has Wen Jingxiu done to deserve Chen Xiu's favor?

Why has Chen Xiu become her behind-the-scenes strategist, helping her rise all the way to the top and become the factory's number one?

It makes no sense, absolutely none!
