SOS: My Emergency Contact Is My Ex-Boyfriend

After waking up from a car accident, Liang An opens her eyes to find only her sworn enemy and ex-boyfriend, Chen Tongzhou, in the hospital room.

Chen Tongzhou is wiping her hand, his warm palm against her wrist. Liang An is too weak to pull away. With her head wrapped in bandages, she still has to get the last word in:

"I'm not dead. Sorry to disappoint you. You can leave now."

At her words, Chen Tongzhou looks up at her for a second, then lowers his head and scoffs:

"No wonder the doctor said there's no cure for a stubborn mouth."

Their eyes meet. Liang An pretends not to notice the red veins in his eyes.

"I know that while we were broken up, you went to Tong'an Road 21 times and took a long detour 16 times to buy the mung bean cakes I like." Since she had never changed her emergency contact, Chen Tongzhou sounds smug and arrogant. "Liang An, you're in love with me."

Liang An is fed up and covers her ears. "Fine, I lose, okay? You're such a child."

Chen Tongzhou suddenly smiles and leans close, brushing her lip with his. "You used to say that when I missed you, I should call you first."

As he speaks, he brings up his call history. The screen is filled with a long, dense list of calls labeled "Lilian."

"That's 189 times," he says.

"You counted them all?"

"Yeah." Chen Tongzhou meets her eyes. "We've been broken up for 189 days."
