A Relationship of Mutual Gazes

*Second male lead takes the girl | Stealing someone else's girlfriend

Shi Miao had been looking forward to ending her long-distance relationship with her boyfriend, whom she was about to marry. On her first night at his place, as luck would have it, he had to leave on a last-minute business trip. After showering before bed, she had a sudden idea: put on his shirt and make a flirty video call with him.

After they got all lovey-dovey, she decided to look for some snacks. She stepped out of the bedroom with her buttons still undone and heard someone talking on the terrace.

Shi Miao froze in shock.

It wasn't her boyfriend.

It was her boyfriend's best friend of ten years.

His face looked more mature than she remembered, stern and even more indifferent.

He glanced over at her casually. "The shirt you're wearing is mine."

Shi Miao: ...

Help! I didn't know this was the kind of sexy role-play I was getting into!

On the night she called off the engagement, her boyfriend spent a long time looking for her.

Shi Miao sat on the sofa with her knees pulled to her chest. Her phone screen beside her kept going dark and lighting up again. She looked up at the man nearby, who was getting her a glass of water. "He probably won't guess I'm here, right?"

"Has he called you?"

"No." The man looked at her quietly. "I turned my phone off."

Liang Wendu had always kept a low profile and never competed for anything.

That is, until he met Shi Miao in high school. Through glass, books, stairwells, and even another man, he had looked at her countless times.

From then on, the two things he hated most in life were exchanging glances and walking away.
