The Savior Complex

The pursuer has a Saint-Father complex.

The pursued is fed by the Saint-Father.

#Dual POV, two crazed leads, short story

#Feeding an eagle with one's own flesh, sins piling upon sins

Pursuer:

A Saint-Father complex. He can slice off every inch of his own flesh to feed his disciple.

Bodhisattva's flesh, immortal's blood, spirit-sword bones, beauty's skin.

Come and take whatever you want.

Eat a bite of Bodhisattva's flesh, and every illness is cured.

Drink a sip of immortal's blood, and live forever.

Strip away spirit-sword bones, and soar to the heavens.

Steal a beauty's skin, and become peerlessly beautiful.

Pursued:

Free things are the most expensive.

Everything received must be repaid with the body.

The pursuer is the master, and the pursued is his disciple.

They only bring each other misery.

They have no morals where each other is concerned.

A great kindness can become a great grievance. Starting as a beggar boy on the verge of death, the disciple is fed until he becomes a revered True Lord, worshipped by all in the cultivation world. He saves the world, yet hates his master so much that he wants to kill him.

But every time, he's the one left clinging to life.
