[Years Like Fire] Lucky to Have Met You

[Official version on Jinjiang!!!]

A derivative work based on the TV series Like a Flowing River of Fire

[Blurb]

That night, Ye Mang took a bullet meant for Xu Weibiao at the funeral home in Chengnan District. But Xu Weibiao never knew, just as he had never known Ye Mang existed.

One bullet couldn't change the ending of their previous lives. Xu Weibiao was reborn in Yanyang in 1980, and Ye Mang was reborn too. In her previous life, she had secretly loved Xu Weibiao but never confessed, quietly keeping an eye on him. Now that she has been reborn, she won't let Xu Weibiao make the same mistakes again.

Now that they have both been given another chance at life, what choices will they make as they face Yanyang's many upheavals, along with the family, friendships, and love they lost and regained?

The guys will meet again, Wubai will stick with them to the end, the colorful guitar, the den of foxes, giving their brothers another hand... The good days they never got to enjoy and the truly big things they wanted to do will finally come true together.

Sow good seeds and reap good fruit. Save the best fruit for last.

(It's really just an ordinary story about ordinary experiences, without so many twists and turns. It's simply about making peace with a regret, and the so-called big achievements amount to a few people realizing a little of their own worth.)

A few friendly notes:

1. I love Xu Weibiao so much that I couldn't help giving him a more satisfying ending.

2. Fans of Biao and Meizi can leave now. Personally, I don't think Lin Hongmei is right for Biao, and I'm not inclined to write much romance. You can think of this as an outline-style story (=TェT=).

3. It's not as tragic and turbulent as the original story. The main aim is a relaxed atmosphere ^_^

4. I didn't live through that era, so I'll do my best to research it. Some details are exaggerated, like the money.

5. All locations, events, and names are fictional unless they appeared in the original series! I made them up, and absolutely don't mean any disrespect!

6. Friendly warning: this contains profanity and erhua.

7. Hua Hudie has little screen time and only appears in the final two chapters.

Theme: In this life, take the right path, do great things, and live well!
