Soft to the Bone

1.

From the heroine's perspective:

At a barbecue stall, Su En spotted a boy so handsome he could put every pretty young star online to shame. She liked the look of him and walked right up to him.

"Hey, handsome. Want to date?"

The boy asked, "With who?"

"With me," said Su En.

As he lowered his eyes, the light cast a shadow along the bridge of his nose, and the word "Sure" slipped from his throat.

She felt a strange wonder in that moment.

From the hero's perspective:

I've never met a woman this foolish. She's fallen for the same person in all three of her relationships.

She's just so... adorable (happy.jpg)

Su En had always thought she'd been with Mu Cheng for only two years. Then one day, after she'd had too much to drink, she flopped against him and slurred, "Mu Cheng, happy second anniversary!"

Mu Cheng wrapped an arm around her waist and let her squirm in his embrace, replying only, "No, En'en. It's our seventh anniversary."

In my heart, you never left, even if you refuse to acknowledge that little interlude.
