My new work, "My Diary Was Exposed by the Sky Screen, and My Secret Identity Was Revealed," is currently updating, but it's flopping. I need to revise it and rethink things, so I might stop updating for a while. I'll probably make major changes. I'll open a new work for the revision, and rework the outline for this one. Some of the setup has issues. The premise will stay, but the protagonist's characterization will change. I'll open a new story reservation, and the new one is already prepared. This one will be taken down from VIP. Yu Wei felt his life had been exhausting for the first twenty-some years, so he decided to retire and recuperate, leaving the family business to his eldest brother to manage. Who knew he'd suddenly become bound to a System for obscure professional skills, unlocking all kinds of strange abilities and careers: animal taming, farming, mediumship, demon suppression, spirit summoning, and more... For a while, Yu Wei was convinced the System had read too many novels. Yu Wei had initially refused to get involved in all this, since he wanted to retire. But then again, a little variety might make retirement more interesting. The problem was, he realized it wasn't just the System that had read too many novels. This world seemed to have read too many as well. Why did he keep running into such lunatics? Why were there so many bizarre cases? After using the abilities the System gave him to resolve those problems, Yu Wei wore a fake smile. Was he cursed or something? Looking at the upright, righteous police detective, he wondered if he needed a little righteousness to keep his bad luck in check. Chu Jinan was a very effective bad-luck suppressor. But he needed to be paid, and his payment could be the young master himself. It's basically a bunch of random incidents and everyday life. A cheat's daily routine? Set in a fictional parallel world. Don't draw parallels with reality. The protagonist is the sort of domineering CEO from a local novel who's been steeped in that world for so long that a lot of things don't faze him at all. He'll change gradually later on. He's the kind of outlaw who operates outside the law, but he has principles. Not very high ones, though. The love interest is different. He's a model citizen, and he'll gradually change the protagonist's perspective. What kind of respectable person keeps a diary? Chu Yi does. Not only does he keep one, but the sky screen suddenly appears and exposes it... Chu Yi has transmigrated into ancient times and just become the court's newest workhorse. He's about to lose it. What??? You descendants have no manners! How dare you read your ancestor's diary? Ever heard of privacy? Luckily, he'd only just started recording his miserable life, and his name wasn't in the diary~ Chu Yi let out a tragic laugh of relief. Was it too late to ask for a transfer to the provinces?
