Preya Belladonna has something to say about winning the resurrection match but not being completely alive.
First of all, she really did win the resurrection match.
After going through a one-click reincarnation process that even she barely understood, she should, in theory, have dragged her memories into the recycle bin and arrived in the world from her mother's womb as a string of brand-new code. So why is she still a ghost? She isn't quite sure.
Secondly, she really did win the resurrection match.
If she understood correctly, the being that took charge of her soul, which claimed to be the will of a planet, had approved her birth in this world. It also gave her some strange cheat ability, the kind unique to reincarnation-story characters, then left her a message in a benevolent tone that basically said, "Do your best from here on. I believe you can do it," before kicking her off without even giving her a mission.
Finally, she really did win the resurrection match.
Preya lazily prodded the panel in front of her with a translucent hand.
The best proof was that she was certain she hadn't somehow wandered into a route where her own universe had a hidden supernatural bonus chapter and she became some mysterious old mentor. Instead
The ghost hovering in midair looked down.
Below and to one side stood a brown-haired woman with a ponytail. She was pregnant, yet had already been working for seven hours straight. Her name was Lucrecia.
In other words, she won the resurrection match, but got handed a transmigration plot. And in this damn timeline, neither the protagonist nor the villain has even been born yet.
What does that mean? You want a weak woman like me, who can't even swat a chicken, to kick open the door to Jenova and become Sephiroth's mother, while also stopping him from destroying the world? Seriously?
Preya Belladonna's only way of surviving in life is through domination and manipulation.
"Reader's Guide"
1. The reason I started this story was that FF7 inexplicably got popular in China after being around for ages, and I kept getting attacked by the Western fandom in public every day. So I angrily started this story to roast everyone. I support whatever ships you like, but don't bring shipping wars here and attack me, or I'll fight you all!
I also like the original ships (and if you insist Cloud is gay while insulting Tifa and Aerith, you're a tasteless fake fan). But this story absolutely centers on the female lead, in an everyone-loves-the-female-lead kind of way!! Before opening this book, make sure you're fine with every possible pairing involving the original female characters and have broad tastes. (Meaning I want them all.) Also, be warned that the female lead is a total lunatic. (Wait.)
Except for older-generation characters (I mean people of Vincent, Dr. Gast, and Glen's generation), I've broken up all the pairings. I don't recommend this to die-hard fans of CT, CA, ZA, ZCSC, and so on. For the sake of your life and mental health, please read with caution. When I wrote this, I'd gone so far off the rails that YHM would have covered their eyes, screamed, and killed themselves if they'd seen it. (I'm kidding.)
2. The blurb already explains where the timeline starts and how the butterfly effect begins, so expect a lethal dose of overanalysis, major plot changes, and out-of-character moments. However, I probably won't change some ship-related events that may not be affected by the main plot (for example, the CT water tower talk at night, Tifa going into the mountains and Cloud following her, and ZA's first meeting in the church and the gift of the hair ribbon). The difference is that they'll all develop into close friends only. I'll say it again: if you can't accept your ships being broken up, read with caution, please...
3. First version of the blurb captured on 2024.2.21. I'll update it if anything changes.
Updated 2024.7.6, with a few keywords added for the female lead.
Theme: If you can seize the right opportunity, tragedy can still be changed.
I want to buy the stocks of Sephiroth and the heroine 😭
