Master x Disciple
Qiming had a hard life from the start. His mother died when he was three, his father when he was five, and when he was seven, a fireball fell from the sky and burned his home to the ground.
From then on, the villagers treated him like a harbinger of disaster, a plague-bringer. Wherever he went, he was met with cold stares.
Even when he went out begging, people bullied him. Even stray dogs dared to steal the steamed buns from his bowl.
Life was so miserable, and he was beaten so often, that Qiming couldn't take it anymore. He tied a rope to a crooked tree, intending to join his parents ahead of time.
Just then, an immortal happened upon him. Taking pity on him, the immortal asked if he wanted to come back to the immortal mountain.
Qiming asked through his tears, "Can you promise to keep me fed and clothed, and not beat me?"
The immortal agreed and took him in as a disciple, giving him a happy life where he had enough to eat and wear and no one beat him.
Grateful for his master's great kindness, Qiming resolved from childhood to be the most devoted disciple at his master's side. He even swore:
I will never overstep my place!
I will never betray my master and ancestors!
I will never covet my master's beauty!
Otherwise, may heavenly lightning strike me, and may I suffer eternal damnation!
For more than ten years, Qiming worked diligently to be an obedient and sensible disciple.
Then one day, his master said he was going into seclusion, but ended up suffering a cultivation deviation.
When he awoke, his personality had completely changed.
Qiming: What the hell, has someone possessed my master?
Terrified, he hurriedly called for help. After his uncles and senior disciples examined his master, they reached a conclusion: his master had developed inner demons!
And not just one, but four!
The four inner demons had completely different personalities from his aloof master. There was a yandere, a possessive schemer, a sharp-tongued tsundere, and one who liked cross-dressing!
Every so often, one of the inner demons would take over his master at random, and they didn't share memories!
After much soul-searching, Qiming decided that since they were all his master, he couldn't favor one over the others!
And so began his long journey of serving five masters as one disciple.
