The Background Teacher at an All-Boys School for Nobles

[Writing is hard, so thanks for your support. My other novel, "The Early-Dead Former Cult Leader Awakens", is now available. Feel free to check it out if you're interested.] [Main story complete, bonus chapters updating] Lu He considers himself an ordinary person. Even after transmigrating into a book, he's still just an ordinary background character. In a melodramatic campus novel where the teachers are invisible throughout, he just happens to transmigrate into the teacher of the main couple, who is also invisible throughout. His predecessor came from an ordinary family and feared those in power. He wore a gray plaid shirt all year round, with thick, square-framed glasses seemingly welded to his face. He was dull and awkward, and completely out of place at this elite school. Lu He plans to stick to his background-character persona and stay invisible. He'll turn a blind eye to all the main couple's antics, steer his fellow background-character students away from their dramatic confrontations, recite his line, "If you're having trouble, talk to a teacher," and then sit back and wait for the end of the workday. According to the original story, the male lead is a rabid dog with no one to rein him in, while the female lead is clear-headed and independent, and would never lower herself to ask for help. So Lu He is stunned when he barely gets his line out before she grabs his sleeve. "Teacher, help me." Lu He: Sorry, I really can't help. The male lead, his voice dangerous: And how exactly are you going to help? Later, Lu He realizes that the female lead keeps coming to his office, while the male lead is increasingly fond of hanging around him, too. The male lead blocks his way and drawls, "Teacher, do you like him and not me?" Lu He answers tactfully, "Because I like smart, well-behaved students." The male lead takes a crumpled test paper out of his pocket and waves it in Lu He's face. "I got sixty points. That counts as smart, right?" Lu He: I think you might have a misunderstanding about what 'smart' means. * Being a background-character teacher has Lu He questioning his life choices. He has to deal not only with the troublesome main couple, but also with a whole mess of relationships with his colleagues. The strong-willed, top-of-the-class dean graduated from a prestigious university. She loves bossing students around, and she loves bossing him around, too. The baby-faced school doctor, his colleague, comes by every so often to give him a checkup and loves calling him "big brother." The dark-skinned, well-endowed athlete and PE teacher pinches his arm, tells him he's too frail, and then makes him a personalized workout plan. Holding his thermos, Lu He wonders: Am I not supposed to be a background character? Can you all stop giving me more scenes! (Early blurb draft: 2024/1/24) PS: All characters in this novel are virgins. There is one scene where a male supporting character forcibly kisses the bottom. Please read with caution if that bothers you. ★Coming soon: "The Early-Dead Former Cult Leader Awakens" One day, Nan Rongyue, leader of the Demonic Cult, finds a book inside his head. In the book, the Demonic Cult leader is the nightmare of all righteous sects. His demonic arts have reached perfection, and he kills without batting an eye. He has a hideous face with three heads and six arms, and he devours flesh and drinks blood. Just hearing his name is enough to make people tremble with fear, while catching a glimpse of him from afar makes them wet themselves and shake with terror. The elusive master of the Heavenpoint Pavilion cries that the demonic calamity has arrived and the world will never know peace again. Cult Leader Nan Rongyue smiles faintly. This is all just as he'd expected. Then he discovers that the cult leader in the book isn't him. Nan Rongyue: Well, that came out of nowhere... Using his spiritual sense, he quickly scans the first few pages and spots a line of small print: "In the sixth year of Chenqi, the former cult leader dies. Guardian Jing Xuanguang slaughters all eight guardians and becomes the new cult leader. Thus the old demon dies, and a new demon is born..." Nan Rongyue turns to look at the tall young man crouching beside his legs, head bowed and face pale as he holds a basin of foot-washing water. The young man notices his gaze and hurriedly lowers his head. "Cult Leader, is the water too hot or too cold?" Nan Rongyue's mouth twitches. So, is this book even accurate? * Outsiders say that Jing Xuanguang spent years enduring humiliation at Nan Rongyue's side, all so he could usurp his position. They don't know that, for all the countless years after the cult leader's death, Jing Xuanguang sat motionless at the place where he fell, never closing his eyes again, and never sleeping through the night. Theme: Meeting someone is the beginning of all change.
