Yokohama’s strongest combatant? A third-party force apart from Twilight, Day, and Night?!
Who could possibly be terrifying enough to make the leaders of every faction tremble at the mere mention of them?
Tune in to watch: Kobayashi the Editor’s Chapter-Chasing Diary!
“Mr. Dazai! You still haven’t finished The Wife of Villon! You have to stay healthy, live a long life, and never die, aaaaaah!”
“Don’t come any closer! I’m calling the police!”
“Splash!” “Crash!”
In the rushing river, a drenched beauty in an office-lady outfit clutches a high heel in her right hand and grips a huge, soggy lump of black trash with her left. Gasping for breath, she struggles up the riverbank, taking one step at a time.
Her makeup is a complete mess from the water. Strands of bangs stick to her forehead, and her business suit and skirt cling to her body, covered in dark green-brown algae and mud. Yet her eyes shine with a steel-like resolve.
That light pierces her filthy appearance, shining like a flower defiantly blooming in the mud, a storm petrel battling the wind and waves, or pure gold forged a thousand times in a furnace! Ah, what dazzling brilliance! Ah, what a valiant anthem!
Anyone who misses a deadline will be brought to justice!
Dun-dun-dun-dun~ (The little tune of justice)
Against such dazzling human brilliance, the huge lump of black trash behind her wriggles with such reluctance, so utterly devoid of compassion.
A saying is passed around Yokohama’s literary world: “Better to be sunk by the Port Mafia than to have Kobayashi the Editor handle your publishing.” Once Kobayashi the Editor has her eye on you, congratulations! You can look forward to being hounded for your manuscript, whether aliens invade or Mount Fuji erupts.
Kobayashi the Editor, a terrifying presence beyond even the scariest ghost stories!
Edogawa Ranpo, Fyodor, Fitzgerald...
Under Kobayashi the Editor’s watch, one literary giant after another shines in the starry sky of history.
Yokohama’s strongest combatant: Kobayashi the Editor. Mission accomplished!
Theme: Everyone deserves a better future.
