New actor You Shen skyrockets to fame with a movie starring two male leads, and shares the Best Actor award with veteran actor Jiang He, who comes from a prestigious family.
On the surface, they are distant and act like strangers.
No one knows that in the still, secret hours of the night, they have acted out the intimate scenes cut from the original script, again and again, taking them even further.
But Jiang He still coolly warns him, “Don't forget what you promised me. No one can find out. With your acting skills, you can manage that, right?”
“Don't you trust me, Ge?” You Shen looks at him with clear, limpid eyes, a nearly innocent smile on his lips.
Only later does Jiang He realize that this whole act began long ago.
He thought he was carefully planning every step, never suspecting that he had walked right into You Shen's trap from the very beginning.
When Jiang He pins You Shen against the wall by the throat and demands an explanation, You Shen isn't surprised. He knew this day would come.
He smiles faintly. “How was my acting?”
“Are you looking to die?” Jiang He tightens his grip, his gaze dark and vicious.
You Shen can barely breathe, but his smile only deepens. He looks at Jiang He with the same clear eyes as always. “Would you be sad if I died, Ge?”
In a dark, lightless room, Jiang He pins You Shen down with such force it seems he wants to shatter every bone in his body.
He grips You Shen's chin and lifts it. “Even if you die, you can only die in front of me.”

Later, You Shen lies deathly pale in a hospital bed, his life hanging by a thread.
For the first time, Jiang He's usually cold eyes fill with helpless despair. His pride crumbles along with You Shen's fading vital signs, and even his voice breaks and trembles.
“Don't die... Please.”
