Her classmates were afraid of her, and even the homeroom teacher gave her a wide berth, letting her sit in a corner and "fend for herself."
Then, when the students were divided into arts and science tracks in their second year of high school, Lu Yao was assigned to her class. Tall, handsome, and refined, he drew everyone's attention the moment he arrived.
There were no other seats, so he was assigned the desk beside Ling Fei.
When faced with her new deskmate, Ling Fei didn't even take off her headphones. She gave him a sidelong glance. "Stay away from me."
Lu Yao's indifferent gaze was like a cold, silent field of snow. "Why don't you move farther away yourself?"
Ling Fei: "?"
A classmate warned Lu Yao, "Don't mess with your deskmate. She's got a terrible personality and a nasty temper."
He lowered his eyelids, expressionless. "Oh. What the hell does it have to do with me?"
Classmate: "..."
In a way, these two really were a good match.

Lu Yao stopped. A trace of warmth appeared in his usually emotionless eyes. "To get you some water."
He tucked her hand back under the blanket and carefully smoothed the covers around her. Then he looked at her again and said gently, "Or I can stay with you a little longer before I go."

Have you two been possessed or something?
