One day, all sorts of little animals appeared in Yokohama.
Word was that they had been created by humans. Just as everyone thought this was another terrible disaster--
Yokohama was swept into a brawl between supernatural abilities fighting for their owners’ attention.

A long-haired, orange-red kitten stands on its hind legs in fury, planting one paw on a little doll wrapped in white bandages and grinding it into the ground several times.
[“No Longer Human,” Undeterred]
The little doll wrapped in white bandages trails after a black, short-haired wolfdog, weeping a stream of tears as it makes its hundredth confession.
[The Loving Family]
“Rashomon Moe” and “Beast Beneath the Moonlight” huddle together, discussing how to make their owner happy.
[The Unexpected Rebel Army]
A white doll hoists a red flag and charges toward the five buildings in the heart of Yokohama, followed by two equally excited, unidentifiable creatures.
So, to appease these supernatural abilities bursting with a need to show off, Xichuan Yin and the various departments have to join forces to hold a “Most Beloved Ability Contest.”
The winner gets to have photos of the ability and its user displayed in Yokohama’s promotional brochure, and will serve as a Yokohama ambassador for the next two years.
And so the legend is born: abilities that know how to act cute can take the championship.
PS:
1. There are no couples in the main story. There may be some in the extras. There are plenty of one-sided crushes.
2. There will definitely be out-of-character moments. If that bothers you, don’t read.
3. The story has no logic and is completely brainless. Don’t overthink it.
