Go on a Date with Me This Weekend

Writing takes a lot of effort, so please support the original! For important warnings, see the author's note in Chapter One. Blurb: Office romance [fussy little slacker x old-school boss] The organization's leadership is completely replaced, and the new boss who arrives from outside turns out to be her high school classmate. Sheng Mingzhu tries to cozy up to him, only to be met with a cold stare from Pei Zhaosong. Pei Zhaosong is decisive and strict, a man of his word with the bearing of a seasoned old cadre. Sheng Mingzhu is carefree and undisciplined, always at odds with him. Later, Sheng Mingzhu realizes that Pei Zhaosong seems to go out of his way to protect and indulge her. An absurd thought occurs to her: Could Pei Zhaosong actually like her? One day, Sheng Mingzhu is provoking Pei Zhaosong in his office again. Looking at her arrogant expression, Pei Zhaosong suddenly smiles. "Sheng Mingzhu, without my indulgence, do you think you'd still be standing here?" In a voice gentler than she has ever heard from him, he says: "Do you really think I don't have a temper?" After they get together. Pei Zhaosong gently pushes her away. "Sheng Mingzhu, this is the office." "I just want a hug." "Stand up straight." "No." "Stand up straight yourself." "I won't... Mmph." Mingzhu wipes her mouth and glares at him. "Pei Zhaosong, I only asked for a hug. I didn't say you could kiss me." *The author is terrible at writing blurbs. *Both are each other's first and only. Happy ending, slice of life, slow and steady romance. *The story is set in the news industry, but contains no privileged treatment, allusions, or insinuations. The setting and characters are fictional. Don't connect it to real life or bring real-world gossip into the comments. If this isn't your type of story, please close the page. There's no need to announce you're dropping it. Let's respect each other. *The heroine will grow in her career. Special note: she is deliberately written as a fussy, spoiled character. Don't read if you dislike that. Theme: Strive for the ideal in your heart.
