Transported Before the Holy Father's Corruption

The dungeon is a great place. Monsters everywhere, treasure lying around.

The grand stage of adventure: if you've got a life to spare, come on in.

Even dying is no big deal. Just complete this resurrection process, and you'll be back on your feet in no time:

1. Someone wails over your body. If there's no one, that's fine too. Our professional widows are at your service, and every tear is genuine.

2. A priest performs a resurrection ritual for you.

3. You pay up.

Linie Morgan is one such professional widow.

Beautiful and captivating, cold and ruthless, she can burst into tears on command:

"Waaah!!"

Here's what her daily work looks like:

1. Find a corpse, or at least part of one.

2. Start bawling: "Honey! Oh, honey, how could you die, honey!!"

3. The corpse comes back to life, and she takes the money and leaves.

Quick and efficient, all in one go.

Every day, she loses a hundred unfortunate husbands.

The System came to Linie.

[Dear user, congratulations on being chosen as the heroine of a redemption story! Do everything in your power to stop the "Death-Proclaiming Father," Gibran Jean, from going dark and becoming a world-destroying boss.]

What a lunatic.

Linie replied coolly, "No thanks. Let it all be destroyed, starting now."

The System: [...]

The System: [I'll give you lots and lots of money.]

Linie brightened. "I'll think about it."

Linie remembered Gibran Jean.

When they first met, he wore a long white-and-gold coat, a priest's sash, and gleaming leather shoes. Gibran knelt on the ground, tending to the injured. His expression was gentle, and his handsome face was wreathed in such sorrowful compassion that it could bring you to tears.

Ugh, a holy father. Linie couldn't stand him.

She disliked him, but stopping someone like that from going dark shouldn't be hard, right?

Linie glanced at Gibran, not far away.

With a gentle smile, Gibran snapped the injured man's neck.

The Death-Proclaiming Father: a fitting name.

Linie: ?

Come on, man, you call this "before he goes dark"?
