Jiang Pengpeng's dream was to pass the civil service exam and become an utterly ordinary slacker.
But after failing the exam several times, his friends persuaded him not to live off his savings. He decided to teach at a private school while continuing to study for the exam.
But is there something wrong with the class the school assigned him?
[Scene One
When someone reports that two students in his class are fighting, Teacher Jiang pulls them over and sternly asks, "Why did you hit him?"
Student A smiles innocently. "I saw a baleful aura entering his body, so I wanted to slap it out of him."
Teacher Jiang: ???
Scene Two
One day, Teacher Jiang is still finishing lesson plans at midnight when he turns and sees a familiar face in the window.
Student B kindly advises him, "Teacher, staying up late gives you pimples!"
Teacher Jiang: ????
Isn't this the third floor? How did you get up here?
Scene Three
On the weekend, when Teacher Jiang finally has time to go out and enjoy himself, he turns around to find that the bustling street has emptied, leaving him all alone.
The air around him is thick with ghostly menace. Countless evil spirits seem to howl in the shadows, reaching for Teacher Jiang the next second
"Hey! Want some? It's super tasty!"
Teacher Jiang whirls around to see familiar classmate C crunching away at something, with a bouncing leg dangling from the corner of their mouth.
Teacher Jiang is frantic. "Don't eat weird stuff!"
...]
But none of that is the point. The point is that when he sees their average score is only fifty and demands to know why they won't study properly, the students answer in unison:
"Because we're saving the world!"
Teacher Jiang looks at the students before him
The two-meter-tall PE representative, whose arms are thicker than Teacher Jiang's thighs, comes to the office like clockwork every day to ask for leave. From colds to hemorrhoids, the excuses on his doctor's notes could circle the track once;
The history representative, who wears twin ponytails and talks to the corner every day, reads his fortune one day and his face the next. His greatest hobby is skipping class to tell fortunes under an overpass;
The Chinese representative, one of the few who looks normal, carries a backpack taller than himself every day. One day, a sharpened woodcutter's axe clatters out of it...
Teacher Jiang is exhausted, even more exhausted than pretending to be human.
Is there even one normal person in this class?
