Has Her Highness Been Crowned Today?

From a pampered princess in Shengjing to an empress with supreme power and an iron will, Zhou Fuguang's life over the past decade or so had been nothing short of eventful.

Before she was accidentally caught up among the refugees, she had never known the suffering ordinary people endured.

Her teacher told her, "Your Highness, you must walk the land yourself. Otherwise, how will you understand the people's hardships?"

So Zhou Fuguang killed the man who had backed a member of the imperial clan and left her on the brink of death: her teacher.

She killed the man she had once admired most in Shengjing.

An ally told her, "Your Highness, why not marry me? We can rule the world together, and you will remain its most honored woman."

So Zhou Fuguang killed the ally who wanted to take her realm from her and confine her to the inner quarters.

She killed the close friend who had reached out to her in a time of danger.

Later, as she drafted a letter, one of the few people still by her side heard her sigh. The man, now in his forties, still had a clear, bright gaze. "Though the road was full of hardship, didn't we make it through?"

"In the history books, you will be the hero who ended the age of chaos and the founding empress of Da Zhao."

"And you will also be the person we chose to follow, of our own free will."
