The Poor Sword Cultivator Only Wants to Be a Mecha Engineer

[Pre-release listing. If you're interested, please add it to your favorites!]

Su Qing, the Sword Sect's senior disciple and the number one sword cultivator in the cultivation world, was so broke she had to pawn her bonded sword to pay off her debts. In the end, her debts piled so high that she was struck by heavenly lightning and died of poverty.

When she opened her eyes again, she had transmigrated to the interstellar age, where everyone was obsessed with chasing after steel behemoths called mechs.

Su Qing had PTSD: Buy a mech? No way. Not in this lifetime.

So she turned around and enrolled in mech engineering.

After all, artifact crafting is a sword cultivator's traditional specialty!

That is, until her team was driven into a corner during the Alliance tournament livestream.

All the mechs were destroyed, every single combatant was eliminated, and she was the only mech engineer left.

Her opponents approached with sneers. The audience sighed in dismay.

Su Qing silently pulled a design stylus from her lightbrain. "Fine. Today, I'll show you what it means to shatter ten thousand mechs with one sword."

A flash of swordlight, and the heads of three mechs tumbled to the ground!

The whole internet went wild:

"What the hell? She's a mech engineer???"

"How can she pull a sword out of thin air?! That's against the laws of mechanics!!"

The Alliance tournament committee rushed to arrest her. "Tell us! What illegal machinery have you had implanted in your body?"

Su Qing smiled faintly, fingertips brushing the blade. "Machinery? This is my sword spirit."

#Shh, don't tell them I'm a cultivator#

#Mech engineer is just my side gig, sword cultivator is my real job#

Reader's guide:

1. Strong female lead, progression story, plot-focused with very little romance.

2. The female lead is the strongest and the brokest (doge).

3. Lots of author-created details. It's a wish-fulfillment story with no angst, so don't read if that's not your thing.

4. Interstellar mechs plus a touch of cyberpunk. Probably a long novel of 700,000 to 1,000,000 words.

5. This is a story the author personally wants to write, and it will definitely be written. However, it won't start anytime soon. It might begin at the end of 2023 or in 2024.
